I have a hp pavilion v70s monitor (hp 533w) that stopped working. Are the new monitors compatible?

How do I find the right RAM to buy for my HP Pavilion 533w, besides HP website?

I bought my computer like 7 seven years ago.. it has Celeron(R) CRU 2.00GHz 1.99GHz, 256MB of RAM.... and my computer has been running very slow on start up and when starting/running programs. I have done virus checks and cleanups..and they do take stuff out but still my computer runs slow and freezes. Also it's telling me about my virtual memory is low. Can someone help plz.
